On Demand video content
The On Demand feature for Premium facilities allows operators to provide Health and Fitness video content to members in the Halo app anywhere, and at any time! [see Halo Fitness App article V 2.18].
Training > Programs > Manage On Demand
Manage On Demand has been added to the Training > Programs area, select this new tab to make your way to the On Demand management screen.
Manage On Demand content grid
Keep on top of the content from the On Demand grid.
- Filter by category: Cardio, Circuit, Dance, Education, HIIT, Nutrition, Strength, Wellness, Other.
- Sort based on name, Description, Category and visibility to keep tabs of the content you're offering to your members.
- Search for On Demand content using key words contained within titles and descriptions, such as "home" and "advanced".
- Manage the content at any time by selecting Edit from the Action cog (options are subject to permissions) or "Add new" to create new content.
Note: On Demand management for Staff is controlled by permissions. Staff Administrators will be granted with full access. Non-Administrators will be restricted to View only.
Adding and editing On Demand content
Whether you're adding or editing, you'll be presented with a side panel with the On Demand creator wizard.
Choose from 9 categories and 3 difficulty levels to provide your member base with a range of content that covers their Fitness Goals and gives them the ability to workout whenever they want.
Add descriptions to inform your viewers what they'll need and how long the video might last, or how best to prepare before they get started
Sanity check your video - Add your URL and double check your video by playing from the preview window below.
Set a difficulty and offer a broader range of content to members of all ages and fitness level
Control Visibility using the Visibility toggle. Saving a video as "visible" will mean the content is immediately accessible to members via the Halo app.
Note - members will see all of this information within the Halo app.
Note, all new and editing content will require the user to agree to the Terms of Service for sharing video content.*
Staff can review the content in more detail by selecting View from the Action cog. Use the View panel to check the video duration (YouTube content) and the date it was added to your On Demand library.
*Note: Terms of Service for sharing video content - Operators should ensure that all permissions have been granted and any licensing regulations adhered to, before making video content available. This includes but is not limited to, obtaining permission (licence) from the owner of any content not owned by the operator, and where content is owned by the operator, to obtain permission from those appearing in the video and creators or licensors of any music.
Operators are responsible for educating their own members of the importance of performing physical activity in a safe and proper manner, proportionate with ability and skill levels.
Share your self-registration URL with members
New to the Add Members page, we've added a unique URL which operators can use to share with members within marketing and mass email campaigns.
Members can register themselves in to Halo
Anyone that clicks onto the link will be taken to a public web page.
Once an email address is entered, press "Join" and the registration email will be sent to the member. After registering they'll be able to download and sign in to the Halo app and join your Halo Fitness Cloud ecosystem!
- Resting Heart Rate measurements from 3rd party apps are now supported and can be seen via Member profiles (requires the member to connect 3rd party apps via their Halo app and record a measurement)
